Mary Rosa Jimenez was born in Lima, Peru from a Dominican father and an English mother. In 1988 she moved to Paris where she continues to live to this day.

Mary Rosa has held two solo exhibits and has participated in numerous group shows in the Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Puerto Rico,, the Arab Emirates and the USA.

There are two strongly marked tendencies in her work, one is COLOR wich is a natural for her having grown up as a child in a tropical island, and the other one is FASHION, as a result of the many years she spent photographing the Paris catwalks. Her recent work is mostly dedicated to the study of reflections captured in glass windows and to graffiti artists at work in Paris.The artist is currently showing some of her photos at Lennegan & Marantz in Southampton, NY and preparing an exhibit for next Fall at the Hotel Bel Ami situated at trendy Rive Gauche in Paris.
