Working with mixed media, the creative process is always full of surprises for me.
I rarely end up with the image I have set out to achieve.
Instead I often find myself with a version of the of the image intended. Sometimes
full of anomalies and aberrations, which I take full advantage of.

I layer one medium on top of the another to create a sense of the past.
This process is repeated over and over untill the desired platform for the final layer is found.
Working this way is an exploritory process for me. That is to say, I find my way to the
desired commentary. Often I repeat the title of the piece in some sort of mantra which helps me
connect to the image as it unfolds.
Within my work I try to articulate my concerns with historical events, geopolitical situatios and domestic problems.
