Since 1991 I have had exhibitions both in Finland and abroad.
In the beginning of my career I did metallography depicting
chairs and interiors and from 1995 onwards I have painted in oil.
Many paintings have been made on old trays and furniture.
The themes for my paintings have been inner landscapes and thoughts,
but also realistic themes, especially in the still lifes.
Sometimes these two so different worlds have come together in one painting.
I have gotten inspiration from my trips to Paris where the old
wrought iron balconies never cease to fascinate me.
In some of my paintings you can find the rabbit Franz and his friends;
they are also the main characters in the children`s books I have written
and illustrated.
