I´ve worked with many exciting materials throughout the years. In Egypt, where I resided for six years, I discovered a rusty metal in the desert and covered the metal in leaf gold to bring attention to the great class distinctions in the country. Wood, iron, plastic, copper and most recently, glass, are other materials I´ve worked with.

My beings made out of copper has become like old friends. For the last fifthy years they´ve been following me everywhere, no matter where in life I´ve been or what material I´ve worked with.My work has always been infiltrated with how I feel about a woman´s life conditions, Sisterhood / Community is no exception.

Sisterhood / Community
For this sculptor group/installation I´ve worked with what unites us women. All women share menstruation. It´s the origin of life. Without it, existence as we know it would cease. We carry our femininity as a cloak throughout the fertile part of our lives.
I want to expose the beauty in this.
